Condition: VG+, almost Near Fine. Spotting on edge of textblock, slight bump on top of front board near spine. Some minor wrinkling to pages. The book is beginning to loosen at several pages.
French, a naturalist and conservationist, worked closely with folklorist Henry Shoemaker. Shoemaker’s Altoona Tribune published many of French’s books. He and Shoemaker had a long writing relationship, being co-authors of several central Pennsylvania related books.
