16mo (6 3/4 x 4 inches). 100 pages. Printed wraps with advertising. Wraps are heavier paper in olive green printed in black and red. Not a reproduction

Condition: Well thumbed with wraps fragile yet still attached.  previous owner’s name written in pencil on title page. Title page shows the most wear with edgewear being the most predominant. Remaining pages show light wear, no soiling. Rear cover has light soiling.

In 1911, Lewisburg postmaster W. E. Housel issued the “Complete Directory and Post Office Guide” of Lewisburg, West Lewisburg and Rural Routes. The directory presented “in compact form and extraordinary completeness,” information on postage rates within the US and abroad, general delivery, post office boxes and rural mailboxes, and “the only complete Directory ever published of … the name and address of every person…. from the head of the family down to those of ten to fifteen years of age.” – Union County Historical Society
