Quarto. 494 pages. Hardcover in brick colored cloth boards stamped in black and gilt in a design reminiscent of the 1880s. Paper is heavy in wood pulp, and has not yet become brittle.
Condition: Shows some wear to top and bottom of spine and to corners. Paper is wood pulp, though remains flexible. Child scribble (in pencil) on FFE and half-title, parents must have caught the little darlings at that point, because that is as far as they got. A couple of pamphlets laid in including a knitting pattern and “How to Use a Feminine Syringe”
