Description

Divided chromolithographic postcard reading “Wishing You A Happy Thanksgiving” in gold (Gold is in good condition – fading is an artifact of the camera).  No identification of printer or artist. Turkey standing proudly in full plumage between a pattern glass bowl of cranberry sauce and a pumpkin pie.

Sent November 24, 1908 from Mines, PA with a Mines, PA cancellation (Mines Post Office operated 1875-1939). Mailed to Bertha Zimmerman in Mines, PA from “Howard Hughes” (Not THE Howard Hughes who would have been 2 years old at the time).

Condition: Good. Stamp is partially destroyed. Corners soft, minor paper loss to upper right corner, tiny wrinkle to upper left corner, some smudges.
