Octavo. 736 pages, Hardcover bound in red cloth with a two-colored stamped design including Lady Liberty and the landing at Jamestown. Frontispiece engraving of the Capital in Washington. Entirely in German. Engravings throughout.

Very good. Binding is quite bright with most, if not all, silver gilt in place.  Book appears tight, with no loosening or separating at the hinges. Top corners and spine ends show some bumping or limited rough use. Paper shows some toning as is expected in a book of this period, though paper remains flexible and not brittle.
