Condition: Heavily worn around the spine, cover darkened. Signature starting on page 95 loose. All illustrations appear present. Some foxing and the shadow of a fern laid in mar some pages.

This copy is the second state of the second American edition published the same year as the first. With most of the first American edition by James Osgood having been lost in a fire, this is the most accessible of the earliest American editions of this classic Science Fiction masterpiece.
